One of the consequences of a slowing economy is the inability to care for pets.

Recently we lost  our 14 year old Weimaraner. Using the internet, we found that there were even more pets in trouble than in years past. Most facilities are at capacity. We also decided we would adopt from a shelter instead of buying from a breeder.  We chose to adopt two dogs, each from a different shelter.

If you can offer a loving home, understand that this is a forever commitment, and have the patience,  understanding and desire for a new best friend then there are countless of animals waiting for you to take them home.

It should be understood that a  dog house with a chain in the back yard is
not the help needed. Puppies and kittens will become grown animals in a very short time. They will need your attention throughout their life, not just while they are CUTE. In return you will reap a reward that is beyond measure.
